Door At Dusk

This nice entrance is found on a small apartment building typical of many that can be found in the older areas of the city downtown. They are often right in the middle of residential neighbourhoods and their scale is perfect for such a location unlike the condo towers that are threatening to take over many spots. And the added bonus these buildings offer is that the units are usually large and solidly built so tenants tend to stay for many years.

Looks wonderful Pat, exactly the sort of place I'd like to downsize to when this monster of a garden of mine gets too much for me 😀

There is something about this type of light that appeals to me very much. In fact, I can almost remember from a very early age when I first felt an love for the warm glow of a lamp shining through a window. It makes me wonder why such scenes have stuck with me for so many years. A sliver of a memory from another life maybe??

When you see light glowing like this, it always makes the home or building look inviting.

Incredible old building, especially nice is the magical glow of lights behind the windows, a major favorite of mine! One of the main reasons I love to go on evening walks in the city!
